Samsung continues to bring awesome to everyone with its portfolio of Galaxy A-series. This year, they launched several products along with innovative specs that creators can choose from. During the second half of 2021, Samsung launched the Galaxy A03s, a budget-friendly smartphone that can help students and young professionals enjoy what they love and continue to bring on their awesome. This would be a perfect gift this holiday season!
The Samsung Galaxy A03s comes with the unit, charger, cable, and manual.
The design of the phone is very simple. It features a polycarbonate body, and it weighs around 196 grams, but thanks to its slim profile, it does not feel as bulky or awkward to hold. It’s sturdy and has a comfortable grip.
The ports at the bottom include a speaker, a Type-C port, which is always great to see on a budget phone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the microphone can be found at the top part.
The right side has a slim slot while the left side has a volume control, and fingerprint unlocking button. I was actually surprised to see this because most of the budget phones have the fingerprint reader at the back.
The back is where you can see the rectangular camera bump that has the 13MP primary, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro camera.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy A03s features a 6.5-inch TFT LCD panel. As you would expect from a budget phone, it features an HD+ resolution, but unlike other HD+ screens, it doesn’t over-sharpen the content. The visuals on the A03s come out a bit soft and the colors look just fine.
Memory
There’s plenty of room for work and play with the Galaxy A03s’ bigger storage. Its 64GB of internal storage is large enough to store important work documents and spreadsheets. It’s even expandable to up to 1TB perfect for storing thousands of images, videos, and music without worrying about running out of space. The MT Helio P35 processor and 4GB of RAM promise a smooth performance, whether for sending out emails or browsing social media.
Battery
The Galaxy A03s also comes with enough power to go all day. Its long-lasting 5,000mAh battery goes beyond the 9 AM to 6 PM shift, with spare power for watching content on Netflix or YouTube. More work can be done with a big battery for doing any activity!
I’m using my Galaxy A03s for browsing on social media, listening to music, watching movies, and gaming and the battery can last up to 2 days without charging.
Camera
The Galaxy A03s camera system is business in front and party at the back. Its 5MP Front Camera can be used for conference calls and online meetings. For selfies, the bokeh effect blurs the background to make the portrait more artistic.
At the back, the Triple Rear Camera offers multiple ways to create content. The 13MP Main Camera can snap moments in clear detail, while the 2MP Depth lens adds an artistic blur bringing the subject in focus. Lastly, the 2MP Macro Camera captures the subject in more detail, even down to the texture.
Here are the sample photos I took using the Samsung Galaxy A03s
The rear camera is capable of taking good photos. The images I took look sharp and have great colors. I was amazed at the result of the photos from the 2MP depth lens and macro lens. The photos are also sharp and saturated. The quality of the front camera is also decent, which you can use for selfies and online meetings.
