Blogging 101 with David Guison

Usually, when I don’t have my class, no shoot, or meetings, I’m spending my Saturday by just staying home and having a rest, but last Saturday was different. I went home 4:00 am (from a Friday night party), slept for 3 hours, and headed my way to Manila to meet my friend. I ask her to go with me to attend an event that’s sponsored by Fujifilm Lifestyle which is the Blogging 101. In my years of blogging, it was my first time to attend a blogging workshop and guys, David Guison was the speaker!!

We arrived in SM Megamall at 4:00 pm. The event will start at 5:30 pm, so we killed our time by eating Churros at La Lola and roaming around the mall.
At exactly 5:00 pm, we went to the Atrium for the event itself. Camie Juan was supposed to be there to join David Guison for the talk but she didn’t make it due to high fever. Get well soon Camie!

The event was hosted by the one and only, Janeena Chan

David Guison talked everything about blogging – How to survive the world of Blogging, essentials, tips, creating content for our blog and instagram, and of course, his blogging journey.

“Haters last for 24 hours only, so just ignore them” – DG
He also shared us on how to handle the haters and when you receive a hate mail which is very common for us, bloggers. As he said, the possible reason was because, other people might not understand our own style, and the way we blog.

It was not just purely a talk, but a workshop too.

After the talk, David gave a demo on how he takes photo for his blog, and flatlays for Instagram. Then we had a fun activity

You can pick any items on the venue and do your own flat lay with a limited time.

I learned a lot from the event and beacuse of David’s journey, I was inspired to grow my blog and continue what I’m doing. Thank you Fujifilm Lifestyle for making this possible! Visit www.fujifilm.com.ph for more information or you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
